RULES FOR 1/72 SCALE WARGAMING

INTRODUCTION
These rules are made to use plastic 1/72 scale figures and vehicles such as were available in our youth and are now available in even greater number and qaulity than ever before.
The advantages of plastic figures are
They are cheaper than metal
They are lighter than metal
They can be easily manipulated and modified
The design and execution of plastic models and figures tends to be rather more lifelike and attractive than in metal.
They are now available from so many maufacturers and in so many varieties that virtually all troop types and vehicles can be bought off the shelf or made by easy conversions.
An alternative to metal is resin, which offers cheapness and low weight but has the undesirable property of being brittle. It is still more pleasing than metal to combine with plastic figures.
Trying to stick with plastic merely continues an old prejudice and adds the spice of a challenge to find what you need or convert it from the plastic ranges which are still less extensive then those of the metal miniatures.
